Thanks for sharing your experiences of the last 6 months, I really enjoyed reading about them. You’ve come a long way this year (and not just in distance), and gained more life experience in 6 months than most people do in a lifetime! Good blog Paul. Perhaps, because you mention how sunny Davos is, you might have mentioned the weather and environment in Liberec. You’ve been travelling a long time now, that’s another factor. Johannes sums it up pretty well.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for another interesting report. It must be so difficult to plan your races when they keep moving the goalposts! Whenever I read your race reports I liken the feelings of pain you describe to those I used to experience in running events, but I never needed to concern myself with snow conditions, which wax to use, last minute course changes, and all the other variables you have to contend with. So, well done just making it to where you are! Don’t let the disappointing races get you down – your “disappointing” race would be a personal best for many others!
Hang in there and enjoy the rest of the season.
